Job Title: Receptionist – Part-time

Responsible To: Executive Director

Accountability: The position provides the secretarial support necessary to ensure delivery of the Family Health Team and Clinton Physicians’ programs and administrative services. The receptionist works closely with Family Health Team’s providers.

Qualifications:
• College diploma in Medical Office Assistant or equivalent
• Experience with database software applications and ability to learn new software programs quickly and thoroughly
• Able to deal efficiently and pleasantly with the public and health care professionals

Hours of Work:
• Part-time shifts, 8 am to 5 pm or 8:15 am to 5:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Wednesday and Thursday with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts for vacation coverage. The office is open Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Performs support function for assigned Family Health Team personnel and/or programs. This includes at least the following: word processing, filing, photocopying, and maintaining statistics.
• Acts as part of a work group, assisting and backing up other receptionists within their assigned areas
• Completes data input, transcription, scans and processes reports using designated computer software programs, Practice Solutions experience preferred.
• Responds to the public in a polite and efficient manner. Answers questions within related program areas according to established guidelines and published information without expressing opinions or interpretations
• Takes messages, transfers to voice mail and refer inquiries to other staff as appropriate
• Completes reports based on information provided and received
• Treats all personal information in a confidential manner
• Participates in educational courses, workshops and staff conferences to maintain and upgrade skills
• Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director
